Devin Samuel John Gauna of Eaton Rapids. Devin became a heavenly angel March 5, 2013 at the age of 18. He fought a tough battle with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Devin was born in Lansing, MI, January 17, 1995 the son of proud parents, Samuel Gauna and Marla (Hebert) Anderson. His greatest love was football. He also enjoyed all water sports- jet skiing, tubing and boating. Devin was very talented with music and loved to dance. He recorded many rap and hip-hop songs. Devin was the life of the party and quite the jokester. He had a positive outlook on life and was such a caring person. Little kids were in awe of him. Devin could take any negative and turn it into a positive as he did with his illness. He will be missed by so many. He is survived by his parents; brothers, Quaqien (Trisha) Gauna, Kolya (Elizabeth) Gauna, both of Lansing; sisters, Natasha Gauna of Lansing, Rachelle Hayward of OK, Carmen Gauna of Eaton Rapids; uncle, Eddie (Pam) Gauna; aunt, Terri (Scott) Rhods; grandmother, Welita Marge Gauna; cousins, Eddie Jr., Alex and Philip, Amanda, Scotty; nephews, Austin and Isai; niece, Gisele and the love of his life, Janna Wing. Devin was preceded in death by his grandfather, Severo Gauna; grandparents, John and Helen Hebert; step-father, John Anderson. Memorial services will be 2 pm Saturday, March 9, 2013 at the Eaton Rapids High School Gymnasium, 800 State St. Eaton Rapids. Visitation will be at the school one hour prior to the service.
