OBITUARY: YORK Eugene A. Schauer, 95, of York, died at 8:20 p.m. Tuesday, December 10, 2002, at York County Nursing Home. He was the husband of the late Claudia D. (Laningham) Schauer. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, corner of Fourth Avenue and Ogontz Street. There will be a viewing 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Workinger-Semmel Funeral Home and Crematorium Inc., 849 E. Market St. Interment will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Mr. Schauer was born April 21, 1907, in York. He was a son of the late Irwin F. and Annie R.J. (Riley) Schauer. Mr. Schauer was the former co-owner of the Model Craft Shop. He retired as an electrician. He was a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church and the York Model Railroad Club. He served as an air raid warden during W.W. II. Surviving are one daughter, Norma J. Ensminger of York; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-greatgrandson. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Yvonne Bosserman in 1999. Officiating at the service will be his rector, Rev. Heather E. Cook. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Andrew's Episcopal Church Memorial Fund, 1502 Fourth Ave., York 17403.
