Obituary: Frank L. Groff, eighty-five, of Quarryville R1, died at 9 p.m. Thursday in Lancaster General Hospital, following an illness of several months. Born in Lancaster County, he was the son of the late Amos and Fannie (Groff) Groff. A retired farmer, Groff was a member of the Mount Hope Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Annie (Snyder) Groff; two daughters, Miss Pearl A. Groff and Miss Ida M. Groff, both at home; a son, John S., New Providence R1; a sister, Nora, wife of Jacob Snyder, Quarryville, and one grandson. (Lancaster New Era - Dec 18, 1964)
