Walter was the son of Enoch Crawford and Eliza Jane Kidder.

On Oct 20, 1907 in Norway, ME he married Mary Francis Cain, daughter of Walter Cain and Emma Ramsey.

On Dec 19, 1919 in Coos County, NH Walter received a divorce for Adultery.

On April 9, 1920 in Groveton he married Clara May Stevens, daughter of George Stevens and Nellie Boutwell.

Their children were Otis, Vivian, and Raymond.

Children of 1st Marriage:
In 1920-1940 Enoch and Paul Crawford were in Laconia State School; in 1920 Albie & Harvey were living with Sherman Carter & wife Ada Dennis in Dummer, NH, incorrectly listed as grandchildren; in 1920 infant Imogene was with her mother in the Coos County Farm. In 1930 Harvey was with his brothers in Laconia State School, and died there in 1953. Some say Paul died there in 1981 but his SS death listing says he died July 1993 in Concord, NH. He was released from Laconia in 1981. Enoch died in 1965 in West Stewartstown, NH. Albie can't be found in 1930 but in 1939 he married in ME and died in 1990 in NC. Imogene and her mother lived in Arlington, MA in 1935, then Otisfield, ME in 1940, where Imogene died in 1944 and her mother Mary in 1963.
