On July 17, 1988, Mrs. Mary Ellen (Edgar) Chugg went home to be with her Lord. She was born June 14, 1901 in Coleman, Michigan, USA, and passed away at the Fort Saskatchewan General Hospital. Mary and Edgar moved to the Grande Prairie area in 1929 where she lived until moving to Sherwood Park in 1978.
She leaves to mourn her passing, eight children, Ruby (Corney) Toews, Beaverlodge, Alberta, Annie (Dick) Jacobson, Kelowna, B. C. Elmer (Bertha) Chugg, Venezuela, Evelyn Chugg, Seattle, Washington, USA, Laura Magill, Sherwood Park, Luella (Ken) HIllmer, Victoria, B.C.; 33 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; four sisters, and one brother; numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. She was predeceased by her husband; one granddaughter; two brothers and five sisters.
Funeral service Wednesday, July 20, 1988 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Baptist Church, Baseline Road and Highway 21 with Reverend Ken Hillmer officiating. Interment Thursday, July 21 at 11:00 a.m. in Grande Prairie Cemetery. Grateful appreciation to Dr. Taube and nursing staff at the Fort Saskatchewan Hospital. In lieu of other tributes memorial donations may be made directly to the Venezuelan Children's Camp Fund, in care of T.E.A.M., P O. Box 980, Regina Saskatchewan, S4P 3B2 or the charity of the donor's choice.
