Peggy was married on February 18, 1946 in South Gate, Los Angeles County to Raymond Lawrence "Ray" Andrus (1924–2010), the son of Joseph Lawrence Andrus (1903–1991) and Mary Elizabeth "Betty" (Shrum) Andrus (1903–2002).
Living in Whittier, Los Angeles County, she was 85 years old when she died February 23, 2013 at home.
Peggy was preceded in death by her husband Raymond and by daughters Jane McGlynn and Mary Andrus, while survivors included two married sons, a sister, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A Vigil was held on February 28th, and the Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated the next day, both at Saint Bruno Church in Whittier. Burial was in Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Rowland Heights.
