Kristen was born to Debbie and Keith Kielman. She grew up in Overland Park and attended Shawnee Mission East High School. Survivors include her mother, her father, a brother, Noel, a sister, Chelsa and her grandparents, Donald and Lois Darnell. Kristen, of Fairway, was killed in an automobile accident the day after her 21st birthday. Services were held at 2 pm, Friday, July 23, 2004, at Porter Funeral Home in Lenexa, KS. The Cremation Society of Kansas and Missouri handled arrangements.
