Info from Mt. Calvary Cemetery & SF mortuary records:

John Garesche-- Child of Francis & Clara. Died of remittent fever, 23 Aug 1866, in San Jose. Native of Aurora, Nev.* Aged 1y 6m.


Originally buried in Oak Hill Cemetery. Removed & re-interred at Mount Calvary Cemetery (SF/defunct) on 11 Sep 1866, joining his brother Francis. Again removed* & re-interred at the general reburial area of Holy Cross (H 1 101 17) on 5 Apr 1940, along with his brother.

Note1: At the time of his birth, Aurora was a thriving gold-mining town, with population on the upswing, part of the newly formed Esmeralda Co., NV, and is, in the present-day, a "ghost town" in Mineral Co., NV | Ref: Wikipedia.


Note2: In 1940, at time of removal from Mt. Calvary, workers noted a "tombstone" was present.
