Ocala- Don H. Divine, 86, passed away on February 21, 2013. Born August 31, 1926 in Harrodsburg, Kentucky. Since then he has been nothing but amazing for his knowledge on horses. As a young man in Kentucky he decided it was time to serve his country and entered into the Army. After serving his time in Japan he returned to Kentucky and became a jockey under Ben Jones at Caulmet Farms. He worked his way up to trainer for the rest of his career. He had a wonderful reputation for training 2 year old horses. He moved to several race tracks throughout his career and retired to Ocala in 1996 where he remained a consultant to Samantha Siegel. At age 65 he took up riding motorcycles and rode all the way up until age 86. He is survived by his sons, David and Dennis; daughters, Diane and Della; 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Thursday, February 28, 2013 at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Home in Ocala.
