Funeral services were conducted in the Shamrock Church of Christ at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday. Officiating was Leroy Cowan, minister of the Erick, Okla. Church of Christ, assisted by Ralph Weinhold, Jr., minister of the local church.Nephews served as pallbearers. Clay Funeral Home was in charge of interment in Shamrock Cemetery.Mr. Patterson was a native Texan, born September 16, 1882, in Kaufman County. He was married to Miss Minnie Gertrude Beasley on July 31, 1904, near Crandall in Kaufman County. She preceded him in death August 28, 1967.Mr. Patterson was a resident of Wheeler County for 40 years. He later made his home in Amherst for 10 years and for the last three years had been in a rest home in Littlefield.He was a member of the Church of Christ.Survivors include: a sister-in-law, Mrs. John Ratliff of Amarillo; an aunt, Mrs. Josie Birch of Wellington; and a number of nieces and nephews.Shamrock Texan June 11, 1970
