He was born May 29, 1925, in Mt. Jewett, PA, and had lived in Mentor and Painesville since 1957.
He was a graduate of Gannon College in Erie, PA, and received a master's degree from Kent State University in 1962.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Beverly (Bish); sons, Donald (Bonnie) Andersen and Mark (Marla) Andersen; daughter, Karen (Russ) Miller; grandchildren, Tate Andersen, Abby (JJ) Spaller, Martin, Miles and Michelle Andersen; great-grandchild, Dawson Spaller; and twin sister, Lois Meabon of Edinboro, PA.
He was preceded in death by his infant son, Jeffrey; parents, Annaus and Hattie Andersen; brothers, Richard E. and A. Frederick Andersen; son-in-law, Bob DeBrular.
