Lulu B. Bowen, 83, of 3434 S. Main st. Marlette, passed away May 26 in Lapeer County General Hospital. She was born in Scottville, MI in February 1894 and she spent her girlhood in the community where she was born. She married Merle Bowen in Ludington, MI in 1912. The couple lived in Marlette for 40 years. Mr. Bowen passed away in 1972. She was a member of the R.L.D.S. Church, of Marlette. She leaves three daughters, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. (Marlette Leader June 1, 1977)
