A funeral for Geraldine Sylvia "Gerry" Young of Sheridan will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Adamson's Sheridan Funeral Home.
Private interment will be in Green Crest Memorial Park, Sheridan.
Mrs. Young died Feb. 15, 2000, in McMinnville. She was 77.
She was born Oct. 15, 1922, in Goshen, the daughter of Francis and Sylvia Foster Dowdy.
She and Henry Young were married Sept. 21, 1939, in Vancouver, Wash.
The couple lived in the Florence area for many years, moving to Sheridan in 1968. They owned and operated Gerry's Antiques. Mrs. Young loved antiques and playing bingo. She also enjoyed spending time with her family.
Survivors include a son, Don Young of North Bend; two brothers, Lloyd Dowdy of Marcola and Byron Dowdy of Winling; a sister, June Dodge of Scappoose; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1981.
