Corolyn Beatrice Hahn Randall, 91 years of age, passed away Monday February 11, 2013. Born in Garrettsville, Ohio on January 25, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Emerson and Lucile (Doud) Hahn. Mrs. Randall lived most of her life in Nelson, and was a 1940 graduate of Nelson High School. She attended Youngstown Business College, worked at the Ravenna Arsenal, at the Pennsylvania Railroad Freight Station in Cleveland and at Packard in Warren. She retired from a bookkeeper position at Cortland Banks, following which she assisted in Garland's Electric Motor Repair shop rewinding motors. As a member of the Garrettsville United Methodist Church, Corolyn volunteered many hours in the office there. Corolyn was a 4-H advisor and former member of the Nelson L.M.C. and the Nelson W.S.C.S., as well as treasurer and organist for many years at the Nelson United Methodist Church. Family members will remember Corolyn for her made from scratch "German Sweet Chocolate" birthday cakes, and the homemade butter that she made and sold from their home. On February 1, 1946, she married Garland "Bill" Randall who survives at their home. Also surviving is her daughter Brianne (John David) Finney of Nelson, sisters Martha (James) Knowlton of Nelson, Mary Louise (Henry) Hecky, Jr. of Garrettsville, brothers Willard (Yvonne) Hahn and Roy (Janet) Hahn all of Nelson, and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call Thursday from 6:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua, where her funeral services will be held Friday February 15, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. with Pastor Rick Hughes officiating. Mrs. Randall will then be laid to rest at Harrington Cemetery in Nelson. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Garrettsville United Methodist Church or to the Nelson United Methodist Church.
