Mr. Moberly was a U.S. Marine veteran of World War II, having received the Purple Heart in Iwo Jima.

He was the son of the late Richard Clay Moberly Sr. and Lillian Mae Sinn. His wife, Christine Rest , is deceased. He is also preceded in death by a daughter, Naomi Dinges; a brother, Austin Moberly; and two sisters, Fern Fleming and Geraldine Anderson.
