William married Gittie Wyckoff on March 31, 1896, in Des Moines, County, Iowa. (Spelled Wychoff in the marriage record in ancestry.com.) For those who are not familiar with the area, please note this was not Des Moines, Iowa, which is in Polk County. On the marriage record found in ancestry.com, William's parents have been transcribed as James L. and Sally (Loring) Wright. By clicking on the actual marriage record, it may be seen that Sally's correct maiden name of Loving is on the record.

Obituary From Ottumwa Daily Courier, April 8, 1946:

W.M.WRIGHT

FAIRFIELD. – Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Weston Behner funeral home for William M. Wright, 72, who died at the state hospital in Mt. Pleasant Saturday. The Rev. M.L. Ellick of the First Baptist church will conduct the service and burial will be at Glasgow.

Mr. Wright was born March 26, 1872 [sic], in Glasgow and grew to young manhood there. He married Miss Gittie M. Wykoff [sic] March 31, 1895 [sic], and they spent a number of years on Jefferson county farms. She died April 10, 1931.

For the past 25 years, Mr. Wright had lived in the Batavia community. Surviving him are four sons, Paul of Batavia, Ray of Selma, George of Hedrick, Wayne of Ottumwa, and three daughters, Mrs. W.C. Bradshaw of Batavia, Mrs. C.H. Knight [sic] of Ottumwa and Mrs. Otto Day of Arbela, Mo. There are also three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Thomas of Centerville, Mrs. Elsie Creek of Memphis, Mo., and Mrs. Lavina Baker of Miles, Wyo., and a brother, C.R. Wright of Memphis, Mo.
