Harold and Bonnie (Annie Laura) Gividen of Mapleton, Utah, passed away together Monday morning Sept. 29, 2003.
They were united in life, not separated in death, and will continue together through eternity.

They spent Sunday, September 28th together, celebrating their 55th Wedding Anniversary, and will be celebrating Dad's birthday, October 2nd with our deceased brother, Floyd, in eternity.

They served together as temple workers at the Provo Temple for many years. Our dad was retired from the Air Force as Lt. Colonel, was a pilot in World War II, and served a mission for the LDS Church in Texas, where he met our mother. They were married in the Salt Lake Temple and dedicated the rest of their lives to raising a faithful posterity.

While our father worked hard all his life to provide for their family, our mother chose to stay home to raise and nurture their children. She was a support to her husband, while being an anchor in their home. Later in life they worked together supporting and loving their grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Together, they provided the perfect example of a forever family.

They are survived by six living children: Chuck (Rhonda) Gividen, of Victor, MT; Julie (Lynn) Poulson, of Ephriam, UT; Floyd (deceased); Peggy (Lynn) McQuivey, of Nephi, UT; Becky (Lance) Chapman, of Genola, UT; Amy (Brett) Merkley, of Corinne, UT; Norman (Julie) Gividen, of Payson, UT. They also had 50 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren . . . Family was their priority. Harold is survived by one brother, Bert; and four sisters: Rhea, Kathleen, Georgene, and Mary Jo. Bonnie is survived by one sister, Mary Helen.

Harold and Bonnie's lives touched the lives of so many. We would like to thank all those who knew our parents and for their goodness and kindness in caring for them these past few months.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 2, 2003 at 11 a.m. in the Mapleton White Church at 31 West Maple on the corner of Main and Maple in Mapleton, Utah. A Viewing will be held Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 East 200 South in Springville,

They were united in life, not separated in death, and will continue together through eternity.
