Myrtle C. Brown, 84, of Marlette, died Friday, Nov. 14, 1980, in her home after a long illness. She was born June 28, 1896, in Brown City. She was a member of the Marlette Bethel C&MA Church. She married Earl Brown January 27, 1915, in Brown City. He died February 1, 1964. Mrs. Brown is survived by three daughters, five sons, twenty-seven grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. Services will be at 10:30 A.M. Monday in the Marlette Bethel C&mA Church. The Rev. James Hubbard, the churchs pastor, will officiate. Burial will eb in the Marlette Cemetery. Mrs. Myrtle C. Brown, 84, of 5165 Montgomery Road, Marlette, passed away Friday, November 14, 1980, at her home following an extended illness. She was born on June 28, 1896, In Brown City, the daughter of the late Edward and Mary (Staley) Landon. She was a lifelong resident of the Brown City and Marlette communities. On January 27, 1914, she married Earl Brown in Brown City. He preceded her in death in February 1964. She was a member of the Marlette Bethel C&MA Church in Marlette. She is survived by her three daughters, five sons, twenty-six grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. Two sons John and Joseph preceded her in death. (Marlette Leader Nov. 19, 1980)
