Funeral Services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. for Mrs. Laura Davis Goolsby, 79, at the Algood Church of Christ, with James J. Reynolds, minister of the Algood Church and Mr. Parker of Carthage, officiating. Burial was in the Algood cemetery.
Mrs. Goolsby was born and reared in Algood and spent most of her life there. For the past few years Mrs. Goolsby had made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Fred Evans, Carthage. She died in a Lebanon Hospital, following a long illness, Friday, Feb. 17.
She was the widow of the late Frank Goolsby. Her survivors are her daughter, Mrs. Evans, Carthage; two sons, Paul Goolsby and Fred Goolsby, Algood; two brothers, Charlie Davis, Carthage, and John Davis, Cookeville; and seven grandchildren.
