He is survived by his wife, Karen Sue Shepherd of Cornettsville; son Christopher Lee Shepherd of Cornettsville; brothers Junior Shepherd and Ray Shepherd of Cornettsville; and sister Nadine Shepherd of Cornettsville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Nora Shepher; daughter Rebecca Sue Shepherd; brothers Sonny Shepherd and Tom Shepherd; and sisters Charlene Ison and Mayrene Hayes.
Arrangements were handled by Brashear-Callahan Funeral Home of Viper. Funeral services were held at the Church of God of Prophecy in Little Leatherwood. Interment was at Arch Halcomb Cemetery in Little Leatherwood.
