Dear Sister of Elizabeth "Bette" McCarthy of Lexington, Carol Granfield of Stoneham, Frederick Doherty of Billerica, the late Philip Doherty, Louise DiMare, and Virginia Elrick. Also survived by 4 Grandchildren and 5 Great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Calling Hours Wednesday morning 9:30-10:30 am at the George L. Doherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.), SOMERVILLE, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Clement Church, Somerville, at 11 am. Interment Private. Dear Kathy and Carol,
So sorry about Marie's passing so quickly. We had many good times here in Burlington and at all family functions.
George and I were her "designated drivers" and she'd be ready and waiting for us to pick her up on our way to wherever the party was held. We shared many good laughs and I have such fond memories of her. She was such a good woman.
