"Wanda B. (Zawicki) Plotczyk, 85 of Worcester died Tuesday, August 26 in her home. Her husband John Plotczyk died in 1969. She leaves a daughter, Gayle M. Dwyer, wife of Robert J., of Berkeley Heights, NJ; nine grandchildren, one great grandchild; and two sisters, Jennie B. Ermanski and Alfreda M. Zawicki, both of Worcester. She is predeceased by two sisters, Stasia D. Geneva and Josephine M. Zawicki. She was born in Worcester, a daughter of Walter B. and Mary T. (Kowalski) Zawicki.

Mrs. Plotczyk was a homemaker. She was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church. Wanda was a member of the Gold Star Wives of America. She will be remembered as a strong and independent woman.

A funeral will be held on Friday, August 29, from HENRY - DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St. with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours in the funeral home will be Thursday, August 28 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The family requests flowers be omitted. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Czestochowa Memorial Fund, 34 Ward St., Worcester, Ma 01610."
