Janai, was born to Amos and Tracie Belcher, a gift from God. She attended Ebenezer Church in Hillsboro, Alabama, where she enjoyed attending service and clapping her hands to the tunes of the choir. Janai lived a very happy and loving life. She breifly attended Kingdom for Kids Nursery and brought delight to all those she encountered.

In March 2003, she was diagnosed with an illness and required frequent trips to Children's Hospital in Birmingham and her pediatrician's office where she was loved and cherished by doctors, nurses, and other hospital staff. She loved vistors and would greet and say goodbye to them with a big "ug" or blow a kiss. Her special friends were her Georgia cousin, "Brittany" whom she always wanted to talk to on the phone and Mrs. Nell Grimes who lives across the street. Janai wanted to visit her husband "Junior" and their great grandson "Anthony" constantly. Her favorite activity was riding the horsey at the mall.

She is survived by her parents and four brothers; JoVon Belcher of Quanico, Virginia, Amos H III of Altamaha Springs, Florida, JoDan of Birmingham and Antoine of Pittsburg, PA. Grandparents, Johnny and Louise Oliver of Leary, GA; Ruth Belcher of Fort Wayne, IN; Amos Sr. and Stella Belcher of Calera, AL. She also has a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends who will cherish her memories.
