Son of Mr. William Maurice Freeman & Mrs Martha Elizabeth "Mattie" Burford, of Dallas, Texas, was born in that city April 12, 1894, and was educated at Tome School and at the State University. Entered the service May 8, 1917, and was sent to the First Officers' Training Camp. Was assigned to Love Field with the 169th Aero Squadron. Went overseas in February, 1918. Participated in the St. Mihiel and the Meuse-Argonne offensives. Received his discharge Jun 19, 1919.
