Ann Elizabeth Wilkinson, born October 5, 1912, was the daughter of Thomas Redmond Wilkinson and Linda Harville Magee, Carson, Virginia. Elizabeth taught school in and around the Petersburg area for more than 40 years. Her last teaching assignment was at Walnut Hill Elementary School where she taught 1st grade, the grade that she preferred to teach for most of her teaching career. She and her husband, Edgar Claiborne "Bookey" were married in about 1941 and they had no children. After her husband's death in 1985, she lived alone at her residence in Colonial Heights, Virginia, but moved to Mayfair, assisted care living, in 1998, where she lived until her death in December 2001.
