BROOKS Victor Lewis Brooks, 31-years-old veteran of the World War died Friday at Kernville where he had made his home for the last year. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Beatrice Brooks. The body is at Payne & Son Chapel pending funeral arrangements.
NOTE: widow's name is Grace Beatrice (Blair) Brooks, Victor was the son of George Henry Brooks and Evelet "Lettie" McCore.
They were married on 01 Jun 1921 at 126 N. 84th St. Seattle, King County, Washington, home of my Grandaunt Grace's mother, Frances Anna (Burnett) Blair (my maternal great-grandmother). Witnesses were Aunt Grace's 1st cousin, Robert B. Burnett and his wife, Vina May.
Victor was gassed during WW I and was hospitalized after the war.
