The Rev. Mr. Wyrick is a native of Wythe County having been born and reared in the Speedwell community and he has many relatives scattered throughout the county. He was well known in Max Meadows, having held revivals at the Methodist church here for the late Rev. W. C. Crockett and also Rev. R. L. Osborne. Deepest sympathy is extended the family.

The Rev. David Franklin Wyrick, about 70, a retired minister of Princeton, W. Va., was killed last night whe he was struck by a car on a highway near Knoxville, Tenn.
Wyrick, a former Methodist pastor here, was enroute to join fellow churchmen at final sessions of the Holston Conference.
Traveling with his wife and daughter, he had stopped his car to ask directions to a tourist court. He was struck as he walked across the highway.
