Herschel was born in Pulaski County, Kentucky on March 21st, 1924, son of the late Sam and Myrtle Brown Bolin.
Herschel was survived by three sons, Gary Richard Bolin, Dennis R. Bolin and Ron Bolin; five daughters, Edith L. Baker, Lisa Morrow, Katherine Bolin, Debbie Vaught, and Cindy Brady; two brothers, James Bolin and Ray Bolin; one sister, Iva Armstrong; eleven grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends who mourn his passing.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Delta Myrthal Foster Bolin, whom he married in 1949; his parents, Sam and Myrtle Bolin; two brothers, Donald Bolin and Hubert Bolin; and one sister, Etta Nevels.
Funeral services were held on Friday, October 22nd, 1982 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Bob Browning officiating.
Burial followed in the Alexander Chapel Cemetery in Pulaski County, Kentucky.
