Jean D. Carmichael, age 88 of Sevierville (formerly of Clinton, TN) passed away Thursday, January 31, 2013.
She was a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority and the Sevierville Garden Club. She served as a hospital volunteer where she lived.
Mrs. Carmichael was preceded in death by her parents, William A. and Ruth B. Dance.
She is survived by her husband: Marsden B. (Mike) Carmichael;
Son: Douglas S. Carmichael and wife Judy B. Carmichael;
Daughters: Deborah Carmichael, Janice Pelton;
Grandson: Spencer R. Pelton;
Sisters: Joan Bridges of Staten Island, NY, Joyce Dance of Bellingham, Washington, Judy McMullen and husband Larry McMullin of South Carolina
Memorial donations may be made to First United Methodist Church, 214 Cedar Street, Sevierville, TN 37862.
The Wesleyan Sunday School class will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family will receive friends 12 -1 PM Monday with funeral service to follow at 1 PM in the Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville. Rev. Bobby Ely and Rev. Andrew Henry will officiate.
