Loving father of Ronald Sider and his wife Bonnie of Lindsay, Carolyn and her husband Larry Mack of Carp, Frances and her husband Ernest Rea of Kirkfield and pre-deceased by son Douglas Sider (1987). Special grampa of Andrea, Amy, Aaron, Daniel, Brian, Andrew, Michael, Rochelle, Michael and great-grandpa of Cameron, Cole, Sarah, Braelynn and Owen. Dear brother of Muriel Carrington, Allan Sider, Norma Llewellyn, Jean Griffiths and pre-deceased by Rita Carrington.
