Amzie Lee Burchfield, 40, of Tupelo, died Friday at Tupelo hospital after a short illness. Mr. Burchfield was a Sunflower County native and moved to Tupelo six years ago where is was associated with a furniture manufacturing company.
Funeral services were held at Coleman Funeral Home in Indianola Saturday with the Rev. Doyle Cummins of the Indianola Second Baptist Church officiating. Burial followed in the Indianola City Cemetery.
Mr. Burchfield leaves three daughters, Mrs Faye Benson of Shannon, Mrs. Jennifer Baker of Pontotoc, and Rita Burchfield of Tupelo; one son, Al Burchfield of Tupelo; four sisters, Mrs. Estell Kimbrell of Greenville, Mrs. Lorell Weeks of Jackson, Mrs. Janell Bland of Tutwiler, and Mrs Sarah McCool of Cleveland; Three brothers, J. D. Burchfield of Indianola, C. C. Burchfield of Cleveland, and Phillip Burchfield of Tallulah, LA and three grandchildren.
