Eugene "Gene" Joseph Lewandowski of Cleveland, Ohio, was July 13, 1932 in
Cleveland, Ohio, the son of Walter and Josephine (Mazur) Lewandowski. He died
Saturday, January 26, 2013 and was survived by his wife of 58 years, Dorothy
(Keeran) Lewandowski, who was his high school sweetheart. Gene graduated from
James Ford Rhodes High School in 1951. He was a wood pattern maker, retired from
Production Pattern. He was a member of the Ohio Society for the Elevation of
Kites and with his wife spent countless hours sharing the love of kites with
others. Gene was known as "the bubble man" by many children and their parents.
