Funeral services for Guy Eveland Brewer, 86, of Route 2, New Carlisle, who died suddenly at 12:55 p.m. Wednesday at Mound Park Hospital in St. Petersburg, Fla., will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Haverstock Funeral Home. The Rev. Donald C. Ford will officiate. Burial will be in Rolling Prairie Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home today and until time of services. Mr. Brewer, who had been in Florida to spend the winter, was born Sept. 21, 1883 in LaPorte county to Arthur Benjamin and Sara T. (Martin) Brewer. He lived in LaPorte county all his life and was a retired maintenance man with the county and state highway departments.
He was married in LaPorte county on June 26, 1909 to Mae Turner who preceded him in death. He was married on March 4, 1948 in Valdosta, Ga., to Carrie Sebasty, who survives.
He was a member of the Rolling Prairie Christian Church.
Besides his wife he is survived by two step-sons, Lewis Sebasty, Buchanan, Mich., and Leslie Sebasty, New Carlisle; one step-daughter, Mrs. Alice Dorr, Belding, Mich.; two brothers, George Brewer, New Carlisle, and Clair Brewer, Rolling Prairie; three sisters, Mrs. Lloyd Boles, Three Oaks, Mich.; Mrs. Anne Shedd, Rolling Prairie; Mrs. Mattie LeRoy. Mishawaka; 11 step-grandchildren and 27 step-great-grandchildren.
