Modesto was a friend to many and remembered as making people laugh whenever he was around - BIG HAPPY! He loved fishing and barbequing. He hoped to be a chef one day and wanted to travel to Alaska to fish. He was a wonderful Tio to his nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Mon., Jan. 28, 2012, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 514 Carlisle St., Rosenberg, from 9:30am to 11am with a Rosary being prayed at 10:30am. followed by a Funeral Mass officiated by Father Lee Flores at 11:30am. Interment will be held in San Gabriel Annex Cemetery in Rosenberg, TX.

Modesto is survived by his parents, Modesto Jr. and Ana Arriaga; sisters, Krysti Eder, Melissa Ramin, and Jessi Arriaga and their spouses; many nieces and nephews; his grandparents, Modesto and Felicita Arriaga, Luciano and Carmen Saucedo; great grandmother, Francis DeLuna; godmother, Irma Munguia; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and other loved ones.

He is preceded in death by his dear nephew, Julian Ryan Eder; his beautiful aunt, Dolores Ketchum; his godfather, Tony Munguia, and his great grandparents, Pedro and Jesusa Munguia.

Modesto lived his life happy and content in the 18 years he was here.
Now, he is doing what he loved best - cooking the fish he caught!

Modesto was one of my students in elementary school. He died in his sleep. I remember he always wore a jacket, everywhere he went, no matter what the weather was like. We all loved him. He was a great kid. So sad! RIP Modesto!
