Leo Edward Hancock was born on December 2, 1931 in East Boston, Massachusetts, the son of Reuben Joseph Hancock (1906-1985) and Anna Estelle (Pitts) Hancock (1908-1998).

He served 2 years in the National Guard and 4 years active duty in the US Air Force, stationed in Okinawa during the Korean Conflict.

He was married about 1956 to Gene -- .

Retired from Long Beach Unified School District after 24 1/2 years at Jordan High School, Leo was a past president of Chapter 2 of CSEA union.

Leo passed away on October 23, 2012 in Long Beach, California due to complications from Alzheimer's and diabetes.

Survivors include by his wife; a son and daughter-in-law; a daughter; and two granddaughters.

Burial was in Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, California.
