Leslie of Holly Ridge is survived by her mother and step-father, Regina and Doug Carter, father and step-mother, Lacy and Nina Atkinson, one brother, Weston Atkinson, one sister, Valerie Atkinson, her maternal grandmother, Lola Yopp, two nieces, Kristen and Julia Atkinson; and her beloved dogs, Thunder and Onyx. Niece of Sonny Atkinson. Died after being hit by a van while crossing Hwy. 210. Her friend also died at the scene at age 22.
