Ora Dell Horton and her twin sister Cora Belle Horton were born to Charles Henry Horton and Achsah Jane "Jennie" Wells on 20 July 1898 in Fairview, Major Co., Oklahoma.

Ora first married Roderick MacKenzie 25 April 1923 and they had one daughter, Jenet Beth born 12 Dec 1927 in Bakersfield, California. Jenet passed away on 10 Dec 2011 in Ojai, California

Ora worked at Douglas Aircraft in Santa Monica where she met Virgil. They were married on August 08, 1962.

Ora suffered a stroke was confined to a wheel chair. Even though she had some mobility issues, Virgil and Ora traveled in a motorhome that Virgil made from a Laura Scudders delivery truck. It had everything that they needed including the "kitchen sink"!

When they were not traveling, they had their "home base" in Virgil's house at 1342 Appleton Way, Venice, California.

In 1976, Ora passed away and is buried with Virgil in one plot at Woodlawn Cemetery in Santa Monica. Virgil's first wife Dorothy is buried next to Virgil and Ora.
