Roy achieved the rank of TSGT, Technical Sergeant (E6) in the U.S. Air Force. This rank is responsible for performing highly complex and technical duties along with supervising subordinate soldiers.
Mr. Snider married Mary Lou Fleener in Rantoul, Illinois on December 7, 1957. They were married over 30 years and had one child. Mary Lou passed away June 1989 in Lakewood, Washington. Roy has 5 grandchildren, Kaitlyn Fisher, Jamie Roy Fisher, Cory Paul Ireland, Dakota Ireland and Cheyenne Ireland. He also has one child through his first marriage (Carleen), Roy Robert Snider III.
Roy was Democratic county councilman in Martin County, IN. He retired civil service from Crane, IN.
In 1990 Roy married Wilma Pride. They soon after moved to Las Vegas, Nevada.
Roy served on the county council in Nevada, as a scout master and as a justice of the peace. He also coached 5th and 6th grade basketball, was on the PTA for 2 years and involved with a local conservation club. He felt we owed something back to our communities and country. His life exemplified this philosophy. Roy had a strong faith in the Lord as a born again Christian.

Roy Snider passed away in Las Vegas March 14, 2012. He is greatly missed. Roy was featured in the documentary series, "Lest They Be Forgotten." He is interred at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City, Nevada.
