Paul V. Lewis, 66, of Frenchtown, N.J., died of bone cancer Tuesday in his home. He was the husband of Mable R. (Sprague) Lewis. They were married 49 years. Lewis was an operating engineer. Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Leidy and Mary (Daub) Lewis.
He served with the Marines in the South Pacific during World War II and was a member of the Honor Guard for the funeral of Franklin D. Roosevelt.
Survivors: Wife; sons, Paul V. of Effort, Daniel E. of Bridgewater, N.J., and Randall H. of Easton; daughters, Rebecca A. Salvi of Coral Springs, Fla., and Jeannie R. Bennett of Frenchtown; brother, Russell E. of Telford; sister, Caroline A. Jarvis of Coopersburg; 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services: 2 p.m. Saturday, Upper Tinicum Lutheran Church, Upper Black Eddy. Call 1-2 p.m. Saturday in church. Arrangements, Varcoe Funeral Home, Doylestown.
