Nathan Henry "Cubby" Baer, born 3 Jun 1907 in Union, Luzerne Co, PA, was the son of Clinton H. Baer (1969-1951) and his wife, Charlotte "Lottie" Edwards (1868-1944) who are buried in the same section of Sunnyside Cemetery. Annette Tompkins Baer (1913-2004) Cubby's wife, is buried at his side. Annette's parents Henry Clay Tompkins (11 Mar 1873 in Pittston - 1930 Tunkhannock, PA) and Jennie Davies Tompkins (1874-1931) and her sisters, Miss Dorothy Stark Tompkins,(1910-1995) who was an elementary teacher in the Tunkhannock schools, and Miss Mary Elizabeth Tompkins (1908-2000) are also buried in Sunnyside but are farther towards the eastern side of the cemetery.
