MARS HILL – Shirley Ann Franklin Fender, 67, of Mars Hill, passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2012.
Mrs. Fender was born September 12, 1945 in Madison County.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Furman T. and Agnes Chandler Franklin; sister, Valerie Horton; sister-in-law, Doris Franklin.
Surviving are her son, Danny Fender; sisters, Laura Mae Lewis and husband, Jeter, of Fairview, Linda King and husband, Dallas, of Skyland and Mary Brooks and husband, Gary, of Marshall; brothers, Van Franklin and Slowly Franklin and wife, Betty, of Marshall, Andrew Franklin and wife, Francis, of Fairview.
Funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, October 25, 2012 in the chapel of Madison Funeral Home with Reverends Billy Murray and Dallas King officiating. Burial will follow in Franklin Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4 – 7 p.m. Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home.
