HUNTINGDON: James Muriel Kendall, 87, died Monday, December 20, 2010 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon. Funeral services were Thursday, December 23, at 2 p.m. at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church in Buena Vista with Bro. Roger Cooper officiating. Burial followed in Prospect Cemetery in Hollow Rock with military honors.
Mr. Kendall was born July 2, 1923 in Cherry Valley, Arkansas to the late Oscar Kendall and Elisa McCormack Kendall. He was a retired maintenance man for Gridley 's, WW II Marine Corp veterans and a member of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Tammie Marie Goodwin and Kenny Kendall.
Survivors include: his wife, Frances Pauline Greenway Kendall; two daughters, Carolyn Ann (Jimmy) Carter and Janet (T. Richard) Goodwin; three sons, Jimmy Dale Kendall, Roger Lamar (Jo) Kendall and Ronnie Kendall; one sister, Charlene Sanders; one brother, Layfette Kendall; 18 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Bruceton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
