He was born April 3, 1930 in Shirley, Arkansas to Hillary and Dona (Carroll) Eoff.
Herbert attended Arkansas Tech University for one year prior to entering the military service. He proudly served our country for five years in the Air Force. He received his Bachelor of Science and Masters degrees at the University of Arkansas. He received his PhD from Texas A & M. Herbert was the Director of animal research for Whitmore Laboratories and Hoffman-Rausche. Herbert married Betty Jo Elmer on December 21, 1958. They have two children, Phillip Stuart Eoff and his wife Jocelyn of Portsmouth, VA and Lisa Kay Lewallen of Springdale. Mr. Eoff was a member of First United Methodist Church of Springdale. He enjoyed golfing with friends and was a member of the Springdale Country Club. He was an accomplished gardener.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers Vernie Eoff, Johnny B. Eoff, and Doyle Eoff.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Betty Jo; son Phillip and his wife Jocelyn, daughter Lisa Lewallen; grandchildren Sarina and Wyatt, and great-grandson Sawyer.
Funeral service will be 1:30PM at First United Methodist Church on Friday, January 18th, 2013
Burial will be at Fayetteville National Cemetery.
