JOINER, MRS. NANCY ELIZABETH, 100, of Birmingham passed away on December 13, 2000. She worked for Southern Bell and Jewell Tea Company before she married in 1918. She was a member for many years at Pinehurst Church of God where she taught an adult ladies Sunday School Class, she also served in several other areas of the church. She has been a member of Riverchase Community Church for the past 16 years. She was a past pink ladies volunteer at Princeton Hospital and a Red Cross worker. She is preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Herbert Joiner, and eldest son, Rev. Curtis Herbert Joiner, Jr. She is survived by sons, Walton B. Joiner, Baton Rouge, LA, and Maurice R. Joiner, Murietta, California; daughters, Harriett L. Whalen, Sylacauga, AL, and Edna Earle Bowerman; brother, John W. Little, Evans, GA; sister, Naomi Abbott, Jacksonville, Fla.; 17 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; and 12 great great grandchildren. Funeral will be Saturday 11:00 in the chapel at Southern Heritage with burial at Elmwood Cem
etery. Visitation will be Friday, 5:30 - 8:00. Ridout's Southern Heritage directing.
