Corporal Fred Albee died at the age of 77 years from a massive stroke that paralyzed him and death came within a few hours.   He was a widow  and both his son, Augustus Albert Albee and his daughter, Lucina Albee Conrad, died before him. His only know family were 3 grand-daughters.

This old Springville Pioneer lived below Springville, California and owned 45 acres He was a tree farmer and did grow apples. His entire acreage was not in apples.

Alfred was in the Civil war the entire time with Company I, 141st Pennsylvania Volunteers. He was a recipient of the Kearny Cross.  It appears he was shot in the back and never left the war.
