In Memory of
Larry D. Brown

Larry Douglas Brown resident of Sealy, Texas passed away on January 5, 2013 after a battle with cancer in Houston, Texas.

Larry was a Partner and Vice President of Seatex, Ltd formerly of Houston, now Rosenberg for 44 years. He had a strong work ethic and believed in hard work, honesty, fairness and integrity. During those years at Seatex, he formed some strong, lifelong friendships with some wonderful people.

Larry always enjoyed spending time with his family and their 3 beautiful dogs, Kirby, Sam & Chloe. He loved all of his girls & granddaughter, but was extremely happy, finally having son-in-laws and a brand new grandson born last summer. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, golfer and sports fanatic. He enjoyed watching and coaching their youngest daughter, Jenna play softball and volleyball. For over 8 years, that's where Larry could be found on weekends when it wasn't hunting season, but only after taking their dogs to the doughnut shop very early in the morning.

Larry and his wife had just purchased a 100 acre ranch in Brown County last summer. He was really looking forward to retiring soon and spending most of his time at the ranch.

He is preceded in death by his father Howel C. Brown of Simonton, Texas.

Larry is survived by his wife of 23 years; Ellen, children; Lisa Kaye & her husband BJ Gotte of Katy, Jenna Lynne Brown of Austin, Leigh Ann & her husband Rene Burnell of Round Rock and Lauren Brown of Houston, grandchildren; Keegan Grace Gotte & Douglas Lee Burnell, brother; Dennis & his wife Kelly Brown of Waller, sister; Judy Seavers and brother; Mike & his wife Cindy Chesser, Mother; Ila Gene Chesser as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation was held on Monday, January 7, 2013 from 5-8pm at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home with funeral services on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at 10am, interment followed at Memorial Oaks Cemetery.

Pallbearers were longtime friends Chuck Tilka, Richard Nowak, Dan Boone, Barney Dill & Richard Winningham, brother Dennis Brown, and his son-in-laws BJ Gotte and Rene Burnell.
