Richard "Dick" Linch, 89, of Andrews passed away Thursday, January 3, 2013 at Odessa Regional Medical Center in Odessa, Texas.
Mr. Linch was born December 2, 1923 in Iredell, Texas to Marion and Ida Mae Linch.
Mr. Linch was a career Military man having served 21 years in the US Army Air Corps which became the US Air Force. He served during World War II, the Korean War and Viet Nam.
He married Bernice Warren in 1948 and she preceded him in death in 2011.
After he retired from the Air Force in 1962 he worked as a Technician for Sears.
Dick moved to Andrews in 1995 from Hico, Texas. He loved to fish and he enjoyed operating HAM Radio. Dick also loved the outdoors and enjoyed riding motorcycles.
He was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Andrews.
He is survived by his daughter Cathy Fisher of Albuquerque, NM; his brother Jimmy Charles Linch of Fort Worth, Texas; sister Janelle Atkins of Iredell, Texas; four granddaughters; April Hadaway of Brownwood, TX; Bethany Doyal of Rio Rancho, NM; Christy Couch of Pecos, TX; Stevie Goodnight of Rio Rancho, NM; and 10 great-grandchildren.
