He had been employed for 40 years as an electrician and had worked for Tri-City Electric Compnay, Davenport, IA; Blackhawk Electric, Rock Island, IL; and the former Electric Construction Company of Rock Island, IL, retiring in 1963.
He was a charter, 73-year member of Local 145 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers in Rock Island, IL. He was also a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Rock Island,IL and American Association of Retired Persons.
He enjoyed making various woodcraft items, working in his garden and yard, and birds.
A step-brother, Walter Claussen, died in April, 1994.
