John L. Lee, 77, Beloit, Wis., died Sunday, April 22, 2001, at Beloit Memorial Hospital.He was born May 26, 1923, at Dallas, Wis., the son of Ole and Olive Lee. He married Sarah N. Bufton March 3, 1951, at Dubuque, Iowa. She preceded him in death May 7, 1998. He was the owner and operator of J & L Thread Grinding, Inc., for 23 years before his retirement. He was a member of the Sons of Norway and the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his daughter, Sharon (David) Ihle of Shelby, Ala.; two grandsons; one great-granddaughter; sisters, Eleanore (Clarence) Mewhorter of Milltown, Wis., and Gladys Dahlberg of Minneapolis; sisters-in-law, Dorothy McMeen of Florida and Darlene Decker of California; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 26, at Daley-Murphy-Wisch & Associates, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, Wis., Rev. Gene VanGalder officiating with burial at East Lawn Cemetery.
Visitation Thursday at 1 p.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
