Mrs. Mary F. Geary, aged 67 years, wife of William G. Geary of near Spruce Hollow road in Bullskin township, died at 11:55 o'clock Saturday morning at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Wade Geary of Reidmore road, South Connellsville. She had been ill ill health for a year and a half.
She was born at Jimtown on November 28, 1884, a daughter of the late Frederick and Wilhelmina Derdel Freiberg. She lived nearly all in life in Bullskin township. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran church.
Besides her husband she is survived by five sons, Roy H., of Connellsville, R. D. 2; Carl J. and Homer, of Lackawanna, N.Y.; Eugene, of Elk Basin, Wyoming, and Wade, of South Connellsville; two daughters, Miss Hazel Geary, of Blairsville, and Mrs. Edith West, of Powell, Wyoming; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; a brother, Rudolph Freiberg, of Footedate, and four sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Chamber, of Uniontown; Mrs. Emma Hoke, of Kecksburg; Mrs. Lena Keefer, of Poplar Grove, and Mrs. Augusta Blair, of Scottdale.
Funeral services were held at 3 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Brooks funeral home in Connellsville with the Rev. J. Lloyd Nedrow, pastor of the Wooddale Church of the Brethren, officatting, Interment was in the Knopsinder cemetery, near White.
